Members of Northern Guilford High School's mens and womens basketball teams paired up with Special Olympics of Greensboro for a "fun"draiser on Oct. 23. The cheerleaders and Pep Band kept the crowd of about 300 people pumped up throughout the game, and as you can see from the photo, a good time was had by all.
Northern assistant coach, Wade Billeson, said the Oct. 23 game was "one of the best nights of the school year!"
Charyl Clark, with Special Olympics of Greensboro, expressed her appreciation to Northern's basketball teams and said, "The athletes and coaches had a great time! Your players have been great to our athletes and I hope they had a great experience as well!"
In addition to the fun, about $450 in proceeds from the evening's events was donated to Special Olympics of Greensboro.
