CRIME / INCIDENT report

ASSAULT/DOMESTIC INCIDENT


Aug. 20 | Law enforcement officers responded to a report of an assault in the 7100 block of Strawberry Road in Summerfield.


Aug. 21 | Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 8100 block of Spotswood Road in Summerfield (off U.S. 158).


Aug. 21 | A 21-year-old male was arrested in the 8000 block of Bartonshire Drive in Oak Ridge (off N.C. 68 N) for assault on a female and a 55-year-old female was arrested for simple assault.


Aug. 24 | Officers responded to a report of a family disorder in the 5500 block of Spotswood Circle in Summerfield (near U.S. 220 N) that spanned a period from July 24 to Aug. 24.


DEATH INVESTIGATION


Aug 27. | Officers conducted a death investigation at 4:49 a.m. in the 8500 block of Julina Drive in Oak Ridge (off Haw River Road).


DRUGS


Aug. 20 | Officers responded to a report of a heroin overdose at the Citgo gas station in Stokesdale (intersection of U.S. 158 and N.C. 68).


Aug. 22 | Officers seized 17.6 grams of marijuana from a 28-year-old male in the 6400 block of Lake Brandt Road/Scalesville Road in Summerfield and arrested him for an out-of-county warrant.


Aug. 24 | Officers seized 0.1 grams of heroin in the 8500 block of Fulp Road in Stokesdale (off Belews Creek Road).


FALSE PRETENSES


Aug. 24 | A resident of the 8200 block of Walter Combs Way in Stokesdale (near I-73 N) reported that between July 18 and Aug. 24, a known suspect forged her signature on three checks totaling $590.


Aug. 24 | A 29-year-old male was arrested in the 200 block of Nighthawk Place in northwest Greensboro (near N.C. 68 N) on four counts of obtaining property by false pretenses.


SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY/TRESPASSING


Aug. 17 | Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity at Food Lion in Stokesdale.


Aug. 20 | Officers responded to a report of trespassing in the 8200 block of Wendy Gayle Drive in Stokesdale (near N.C. 68 N).


THEFT


Aug. 16 | A man at the Circle K gas station in Colfax reported an unknown suspect stole $610 worth of items from his unlocked motor vehicle. The items included a pair of diamond earrings, a gold watch with diamonds, a "#6" diamond necklace charm and a black North Face backpack.


Aug. 18 | An unknown suspect reportedly stole $8,750 worth of copper wire from a construction site in the 8400 block of Adkins Road in Colfax sometime between Aug. 17 at 5:30 p.m. and Aug. 18 at 9:24 a.m.


Aug. 20 | A woman at the MST trailhead on Summerfield Road reported that between 2 p.m. and 3:35 p.m., an unknown suspect stole a black R. Riveter purse and its contents from her vehicle; the contents included several bank cards, the woman's driver's license, an albuterol inhaler, a blue face mask, house keys and assorted makeup items. The suspect also did $250 worth of damage to the vehicle.


Aug. 24 | An employee of Golden Antiques & Treasures on U.S. 220 in Summerfield reported that sometime between 1:16 a.m. and 12:33 p.m. an unknown suspect stole a trailer valued at $5,000 from the business.


Aug. 25 | An employee of Tobacco & Vape in Summerfield Village on U.S. 220 reported that between Aug. 24 at 12:10 a.m. and Aug. 25 at 12:15 a.m. an unknown suspect entered the business through an unlocked door and stole $4,552 in cash and $1,030 worth of office equipment including a black cash register and a black safe. Also on Aug. 24, an employee reported at 7:45 p.m. an unknown suspect shoplifted $2,416 worth of items including four canisters of CBD flower and six Jamaican Buzz cigarillos.


Aug. 25 | An 18-year-old male was arrested in the 7600 block of Deboe Road in Summerfield (near I-73 N) for larceny.


Aug. 27 | A woman at the MST trailhead on U.S. 220 N in Summerfield reported that between 11:45 a.m. and 1:33 p.m. an unknown suspect broke a window on her vehicle and stole a diaper bag and a purse with a wallet containing several gift cards and bank cards, several identifying documents and $5 in change.


VANDALISM


Aug. 18 | On Aug. 16, an unknown suspect reportedly did $20,000 worth of damage to survey equipment on a construction site in the 7500 block of Little Chute Lane/Northwest School Road in northwest Greensboro.
