Another playoff game, another shutout for Northern Guilford.
The Nighthawks' defense held yet another playoff foe scoreless on Nov. 9, blanking Chapel Hill 43-0.
T.J. Logan scored four touchdowns and Nighthawks (12-0) put the game out of reach early with 36 first half points, including 22 in the second quarter.
Early in the first quarter, Logan broke free for an 85-yard touchdown run. He added scores from 1, 2 and 22 yards to help the Nighthawks pull away from the visiting Tigers. The senior speedster finished with 251 yards on 20 carries.
Quarterback Austin Coltrane rushed for a touchdown and hit Chris Ripberger and Cameron Harris for scores. For the night, Coltrane was 7-of-13 passing for 99 yards while Harris caught four balls for 73 yards.
Senior Tre Purcell anchored the defensive showing with three quarterback sacks. Daniel Kelly picked off a pass and Robert Wilcox recovered a fumble.
With the win, Northern Guilford will host Southern Guilford on Nov. 16. Southern moved on via a 35-14 win against Overhills.
