The towns of Oak Ridge, Stokesdale and Summerfield joined to host a number of elected officials on Jan. 17 at Oak Ridge Town Hall.

Among those in attendance were U.S. Rep. Howard Coble, N.C. House Rep. John Blust, Sen. Gladys Robinson, County Commissioner Alan Branson, Rep. Jon Hardister, Rep. John Faircloth and Paul Meyer from the N.C. League of Municipalities.

They were joined by mayors and council members from all three northwest Guilford towns. The purpose of the gathering was to meet and discuss general items affecting the municipalities, and to give local officials a chance to get to know their representatives at the state and federal level.
